VFW Post 10069 and Ladies Auxiliary News

It was an honor at our regular monthly meeting held Tuesday, April 8, to have two special guests: Gulf County Sheriff Joe Nugent, and Frank Kenney of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Inc. Mr. Kenney is also a life member of VFW Post 10069.

Over the past fifty years, the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches has been a place of refuge for tens of thousands of boys and girls. Many of these youngsters came feeling like failures and lacking hope. Attending the Youth Ranches offers encouragement, pride, and happiness, which go a long way to build character in these troubled youth, equipping them to take on life with hope and enthusiasm. This is truly "Florida's Charity for Florida's Children."

It is a great honor for the men and women of our Post, VFW #10069 in Highland View, to be able to generously donate to such a worthwhile cause on an annual basis.
