Wewa Health Department honors beloved clerk

On December 14, 2009, a ceremony to honor the life Joyce Clayton was held at the Wewahitchka branch of the Gulf County Health Department.  Joyce passed away December 2, 2008 from complications following surgery.  Her sense of humor, loyalty and compassion are sorely missed by family and friends.  She was a blessing to her coworkers at the GCHD, where she worked for 24 years.  Her sister, Diann McFarland and husband Perry were presented with a posthumous 25-year service award and a poem written by a coworker.  In her memory a plaque was placed in the check-out area she worked, which reads:
