St. Peter's Parishioners Give to Bridge Residents

As a ministry of St. Peter's Church our parishioners support our local nursing home in Port St. Joe, The Bridge at St. Joe Bay, with our Saturday morning program of music, prayer, and Bible readings.  A natural continuation of this ministry has been the participating of our church in fulfilling the needs of residents of the nursing home who are financially needy.  The nursing home provided us a list of 12 persons who needed items.  They provided sizes and gender of residents.

Our parishioners so much enjoyed the gifting last year that we wanted to continue with gifting this year.  Instead of our usual Bible Study group on last Wednesday evening we had a "wrapping" party.  Our priest, the Rev. Dr. Pete Windham and his wife, Caroline, enjoyed shopping at J. C. Penney in the Mall for all the selected items.

Giving can definitely be more rewarding than receiving.
