St. Joseph's Bay, Scalloping Featured on Regional Television Show Saturday
St. Joseph’s Bay scalloping, along with the surrounding beaches of Gulf County, will be the focus of a special segment of the New South Outdoors TV show, airing this weekend on NBC 40 in Tallahassee and ABC 13 in Panama City.
New South Outdoors is a weekly outdoor sporting show dedicated to the exploration and stewardship of natural resources throughout the Florida Panhandle, South Alabama and South Georgia. The show is hosted by Lt. Col. Randy Hopkins (Ret), who's knowledge of the outdoors is reinforced by over 25 years of service with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The 30-minute segment will go below the surface to show the bay scallop and include to preparation and recipes by Patti Blalock, of Sunset Coastal Grill.
The show will air Saturday, July 31, at 12:30 p.m. CDT on WMBB ABC Channel 13 Panama City, and again Sunday, Aug. 1, at 12:30 pm EDT on WTWC NBC Channel 40 in Tallahassee. Past episodes and more information can be found at www.newsouthoutdoors.com
