Kerigan Earns 16 ADDY Awards

Four turned into 16 recently for Jack Kerigan and the staff at Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc.

The four employees at Kerigan – Catherine Noel, Bryan Baird, Anna Hodges and Kerigan – brought home 16 American Advertising Federation ADDY awards during the 2009 Gulf Coast Marketing and Media Association awards banquet in Panama City Beach.

In addition to a gold ADDY for the logo design for the local business “The Fuss” Boutique in WindMark Beach, Kerigan Marketing also earned 15 silver ADDYs for work across a variety of mediums, from the City of Port St. Joe’s new downtown sign to Tyndall Federal Credit Union television campaigns to a logo design for Polarmatic Ice Vending Systems, a company considering relocating to Gulf County.

Kerigan Marketing has won at least one gold ADDY each of the past four years.

Also, Bluewater INet and Rick Lamberson’s team took home a silver ADDY for the website design for the Bay Point Bluefish Tournament. Kerigan Marketing won a silver ADDY last year for the Bay Point Tournament logo design.

“I’ve always managed brands,” Kerigan said. “Brand consistency is so important because you will confuse the customer.

“The wins for the Bay Point logo design last year and the website design using the logo this year validates design consistency.”

Kerigan said he takes pride that while not the biggest staff in the business, his team is degreed – Noel from LSU, Hodges from Penn State and Baird from South Florida – and versatile.

Noel is a graphic designer, Baird a web developer and Hodges the office manager or in other words, all are jack-of-many-trades.

“They are all degreed professionals and that is a source of pride,” Kerigan said. “The thing I am most proud of for our team is we are brand marketers and we win across a broad range of mediums. It is good design and we can apply it in a variety of platforms.

“The most important part is sales going up for our client. I believe our range and exposure is what keeps our work fresh and effective.”

Kerigan Marketing’s main office is in Port St. Joe but does work across the region to Louisiana. The ADDY wins came from work performed in projects from websites in northern Louisiana to non-profits in Florida.
