Gulf County Sheriff Arrest Log - Oct. 11

The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting vehicle safety checkpoints and DUI check points during the month of October 2012. The check points will be held throughout the county to include Highway 98 near St. Joe Beach, Highway 98 and Garrison Ave, C-30 Simmons Bayou, Highway 71 North of White City, Highway 22 and Highway 22A, Highway 71 and Westarm Creek, Highway 71 Dalkeith Area and Highway 71 near the Calhoun line.

On 10/01/2012 Michael Allen Hammond, 32, was arrested on warrants for DWLSR and fleeing and attempting to elude.  On 09/23/2012 deputies attempted to stop Hammond who was riding a 4-wheeler on Richards Ave and Water Drive and when the deputy attempted to stop him he fled the area at a high rate of speed. His bond was set at $5,000.

On 10/01/2012 William Clyde Monk, 19, was arrested on a warrant for lewd and lascivious acts in the presence of a child under 16.  It is alleged and he confessed to having sexual contact with a female under the age of 16 who was under the influence of alcohol.

On 10/01/2012 Jordan Lee Nickell, 20, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

On 10/02/2012 deputies responded to a local bank when the manager had suspicions about two young women trying to cash a check on an elderly female.  Deputies made contact with the suspects Samantha Lynn Smith, 25, and Amanda Shipman, 22, who admitted that they had forged the check and tried to cash it; both were arrested on charges of uttering and forgery.

On 10/02/2012 Eugene Phillip Allen, 26, was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fine for no valid driver’s license.

On 10/03/2012 investigators stopped a vehicle driven by Jesse Teresa Everett, 31, for a traffic violation. A K-9 unit came to the scene and when walked around the vehicle gave a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics.  During a search of the car methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Everett along with passenger Rebecca Leanne Causey, 24, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
