Friday, Jan. 31, a call was received from the 100 block of Crestwood Lane, north of Wewahitchka, regarding the theft of parts off of a vehicle. Deputy Brian Smith took the report and continues to investigate.

On Jan. 31, a report was filed with the GCSO regarding the theft of a six gallon gas tank used in a boat. The theft occurred in the 500 block of Byrd Parker Drive in Wewahitchka. Deputy Brian Smith continues to investigate.

On Jan. 31, the GCSO received a call regarding a domestic disturbance. Deputy Shane Ferrell responded to the 100 block of Sierra Drive in Stone Mill Creek. After completing the investigation, Deputy Ferrell arrested Charles E. Kinney (38) for Aggravated Assault (Domestic). Kinney was transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility.

On Jan. 31, Deputy Joel Oquendo conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 98 in the area of Highland View for a traffic violation. Deputy Oquendo developed reason to believe illegal narcotics may be in the vehicle and deployed K-9 Marco. After K-9 Marco alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics and an investigation was conducted, Lilla Dykes (21) was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell. Dykes was transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility.

On Jan. 31, the GCSO received a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance. Deputy Shane Ferrell and Deputy Oquendo responded to the call. Timothy R. Stein (43) was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic) with a Deadly Weapon and Resisting a Law Enforcement Officer. Stein was transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility.

From Jan. 27through Feb. 2, the GCSO logged the following department activity: Civil Processes, 33; Traffic Stops, 25; Requests for Security Checks, 8; Field Contacts, 7; Abandoned Vehicles, 6; Domestic Disturbances, 6; Suspicious Persons, 5; Funeral Escorts, 4; Obscene/Harassing Phone Calls, 4; Animal Calls, 3; Noise Disturbances, 3; Reckless Driver, 3; Warrant Arrests, 3; Welfare Checks, 3; Alarm, 2; Suspicious Vehicle, 2; Traffic Accidents, 2; Residential Burglary, 1; Death Investigation, 1; Physical Disturbance, 1; and Structure Fire, 1.
