Dorothy Mae Butler Obituary

Dorothy Mae Butler was born Aug. 2, 1941 in Dothan, AL to the late Gladys Mae Lewis and Early Lewis. She attended Washington High School and was a cook at several restaurants. She also was a member of The Body of Christ Jesus Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Caroline Roper of Maryland; one son, Paul Wright of Port St. Joe; two brothers, Early Lewis (Patricia) of Port St. Joe, Jimmie Lewis ( Elsie) of Tampa, Fl.; five nephews, Walter Lewis of Maryland, Early Lewis of Port St. Joe, Michael Lewis (Erica) Victorvilla, CA, Curtis Lewis (Lori) of Port St. Joe, Davis Allen of Tampa; one niece, Rosalind Bryant of Port St. Joe; three goddaughters, Ann Riley of Maryland, Tia and Tamara Chambers of Ft. Myers; a special friend, Arrel Hall and a host of family and friends

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Body of Christ Church at 3 p.m. EST. Interment followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.

All services are under the direction of the Comforter Funeral Home.
