Visit the Lighthouse

Although the Cape San Blas Lighthouse tower is temporarily closed for tours, the Sleeping Beauty lighthouse remains open four days a week.

Visitors are invited to visit the lighthouse grounds and stop by the gift shop, which is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Lighthouse Lady" Beverly Mount-Douds, who operates the gift shop, encouraged visitors to bring their cameras. "This week has been a beautiful photo week. The birds and the eagles have all been out," Mount-Douds said last Friday.
