William H. Lindsey Obituary

 

Mr. William H. Lindsey, 74, of Wewahitchka, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at his home.

Born in Sumatra, FL, he has been a resident of Wewahitchka for most of his life and had worked as a carpenter and a roofer. He loved to fish and hunt and was a good husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lindsey; his children, William R. Lindsey and wife Carol, Jeannette Gortt and husband Joe, and Hugh Lindsey, all of Wewahitchka; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, a special great-grandson, Austin Wood; and a niece, Sandra of Port Saint Joe.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the graveside in Jehu Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Eddie Causey.

Interment followed. He lay in state at the New Harvest Assembly of God Church from 6-8 p.m. CT on Tuesday June 23.

All services are under the direction of the Comforter Funeral Home, Wewahitchka Branch Chapel.
