WES Literacy Week events

Wewahitchka Elementary School will be celebrating Just Read Florida’s Literacy Week from Jan. 23 through Jan. 27.

Monday through Thursday special guest speakers will give presentations to students and on Tuesday students enjoyed a Book Character Dress-up Day during which students dressed as their favorite book character.

On Friday, the students will participate in the Million Minute Marathon, enjoying “Books by the Banks” as all elementary school students will walk or be transported by bus to Lake Alice Park or Honeyville Park to enjoy reading on the banks of Lake Alice or Honeyville Pond.
