The staff prides itself on working amongst qualified and talented people, many of which are locals from Port St. Joe, Wewahitchka, Apalachicola and Eastpoint.

Just eight months after opening the 24-hour emergency center a satellite medical building was added to the campus.

The installation offers primary care, women’s services, imaging, rehabilitation, and dialysis treatments.

With each passing month new services have been added, including surgical and lab diagnostics. Specialty doctors have been continuously added to the staff, including orthopedic surgeon, Alfred Cardet and family practitioner, Kirk Garcia-Rios.

Garcia-Rios, a native of Valparaiso praised his experience with the Sacred Heart family.

“It’s a beautiful facility and area. They did it right by putting the hospital here,” he said.

Hall added, “We’ve made a tremendous push on getting high quality physicians. These doctors could practice anywhere, but they’re in Port St. Joe and we’re delighted to have them.”
