Vernon Eppinette, one of the greatest coaches in Gulf County history, passed away late Monday after a long illness.
He led the Port St. Joe boys' basketball team to eight Final Four appearances and five state titles in 10 years, winning four in a row at one point.
He will be remembered as a great coach and educator.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. ET Saturday in R. Marion Craig Coliseum at Port St. Joe High School.
The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. ET.
