News from Port St. Joe Elementary School
Welcome back to another great year to be a Dazzling Dolphin. We have gotten off to a great start. The beginning of the year has gone very smooth and we know the rest of the year will be just the same.
We would like to remind parents that we are currently working on the pick-up and drop-off areas of our school. Our No. 1 goal is safety for kids. The City of Port St. Joe has funded the new path for bikes and walkers. No cars are allowed on the paved path or the bus path. This is new and they want to protect it for the beautification of our city.
This week we will begin our FAIR (Florida Assessment in Reading) testing in our Reading Classes. This is a state adopted test to measure oral reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Everyone at our school will be given this test at this time and two more times during the year.
We invite all parents to visit our school and spend some time during lunch with your child. We appreciate all the hard work of our teachers and staff and we look forward to a life changing experience during the year.
