North Florida Child Development lauds employees

North Florida Child Development, Inc. held its annual employee appreciation dinner at the Honeyville Community Center in Wewahitchka on July 30th.

CEO Sharon Gaskin presented awards to the staff and volunteers from Gulf, Calhoun, Liberty, Wakulla and Madison County.

Recipients included Caregiver of the Year of the Year, Robin McDonald (North Gulf).  Teacher of the Year was Gina Crane (North Gulf). Volunteer of the Year was Grandma Sara Woodrow (South Gulf), Employee of the Year, Carrie Davis (South Gulf), Family Case Manager of the Year, Kristy Plazarin (Calhoun / Liberty),and Manager of the Year Curtis Green (Madison).

 Gaskin also presented years of service pins. Recognized for five years of service were Jan Brown, Gerald Thompson, Janiece Plotke, Haywood Shealy, Sheteta Chambers, Joanna Pate, Michele Stout, Angie Hill, and Jennifer Smith.

Ten-year service pins were presented to: Terri Bird, Lukesha Myers, Amy Branton, Sheila Samuels, Becky Byrd, Ernestine Williams, Curtis Green, Stephanie Smith, Mary Ann Tanner, Algy Wade, Barbara Lynn, Barbara Epkins, Gina Crane and Cissi McClamma. Service pins for 15 years of were presented to Sebrina McGill, Yvonne Harris, Malinda Myers, Delois Stacy, and Jana Miller.

Special guests in attendance were Gulf County Commissioners Nathan Peters and Billy Traylor. North Florida Child Development, Inc’s Board Chairman Damon McNair concluded the ceremony with a special award presentation to Gaskin, recognizing her 17 years of dedication to the program.
