News from Port St. Joe Elementary School

January was off to a great start!!!!  All classes will be starting our standardized testing preparations for the Stanford 10 and the FCAT testing that will be here in March.  We will all win in 2010!!!

 Our students were treated to a Dazzling Dolphin Reward Party for excellent Dolphin Behavior.  Your student was able to attend this party if they did not have any office/bus referrals or three unexcused tardies for the 2nd Nine week period.  They enjoyed a movie and brownies from our Lunchroom Ladies.  Thank you Lunchroom Ladies for helping with our school behavior plan.  Together we get it all done!!!!!

Next, our student body attended a Playwrite-Playmakers assembly on Jan. 25 sponsored by Gulf Alliance for the Arts.  Those performers shared with our 4th grade students, in a special session, the mechanics needed in order to write their own play.  Who knows we may have playwriters among us!!!!!

Lastly, parents do not forget that report cards go home January 29th.  Please take this time to go over your child’s report card with them and should you need to set up a parent conference with your child’s teacher, please feel free to do so by calling our school.
