The Arts: The Port St Joe Art Department, under the direction of Art Teacher Julie Hodges, is proud to announce a growing relationship with Sacred Heart Hospital.  Two students, Caitlin Godwin and Sophia Harrison, have accepted positions working with the Arts In Medicine program.  In keeping with the spirit of community, our hospital has graciously offered its facility to house the first ever off -campus Port St Joe Art Show this spring.  Details to follow as plans develop. Additionally, budding artist’s works are prominently displayed in the Commons area for all to view. Check out our talented student’s work on your next visit

Homecoming: The Homecoming parade will be held at 3:15 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 12 on Reid Avenue. The Parade will start on First Street and travel down Reid Avenue to Highway 71. Form-up begins at 2:30 p.m. on First Street and Williams Avenue. Later that night, the Homecoming Game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Shark Stadium pitting our Tiger Sharks against the Knights of Rocky Bayou. Come out and support the Tiger Sharks and be part of the fun!

Dig Pink Volleyball for Breast Cancer Awareness: The Lady Tiger Shark Volleyball Team will host the Wewahitchka Lady Gators Thursday, Oct. 18 in the 4th annual Dig Pink event. This is also Senior Night and our last regular season match. All proceeds from the gate receipts will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness. Come out and show your support to the team and this important cause that has touched so many lives right here in our own community. Help us to “Pink Out” the Dome by wearing pink that evening and let’s pack the house.

Football: Congratulations to the Varsity Football on their victory over Franklin County last Friday night! They beat the Seahawks 56-14 after the JV’s triumphed over Wewahitchka on Thursday night by a score of 14-8. Keep up the good work, guys!

Volleyball:  The varsity won their match against West Gadsden last Thursday. Good job, ladies! 

NJROTC: The NJROTC is going on the road. On Oct. 18 the cadets will leave for a visit to the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. At NAS JAX they will be met by Navy Chief, Justin Blaylock, who will be their guide for the two day event, culminating with a trip to watch the Blue Angels on Jacksonville Beach.
