SENIORS

-On Friday, Aug. 10 seniors voted for their class officers. They are: Erica Balogh, President; Tiara Smith, Vice-President; Erica Protsman, Secretary; and Reis Nelson, Treasurer.

-The Senior Executive Board sign-up sheet is on the library door for only a short time.

-Senior Trip payments go to Mrs. Alcorn. The first payment is due at the end of September and is $60.

-Cap, gown, t-shirt, and diploma costs are due to Ms. Barbee in September.

JUNIORS

-The Junior Executive Board met Thursday, Aug. 26. They held elections for positions in the board. The President is Blaine Bush; Vice-President is Emerald Muniz; Treasurers are Erin Kennedy and Tiffany Varnes; and Secretary is Autumn Merriel. The board discussed ways to earn money for prom.

CLUBS

Student Government

-Remember that SGA has weekly Monday meetings.

- SGA will be celebrating International Chocolate Day on Monday, Sept. 13. All SGA members are responsible for a bag of Hershey Kisses. These are due by Sept. 10. Each 1st Period class will then receive a bag of Hershey kisses to share on the 13th.

-The SGA will be starting their Yankee Candle Sales within the next few weeks.

National Honor Society

-$25.00 dues must be turned in to Caitlin Rich by Sept. 7.

-Officers meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

- Meetings for all members are on the 4th Tuesday of each month.

Mu Alpha Theta

- Meetings for all members take place every Thursday during lunch in Mrs. Ethridge’s room.

FCA( Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

-Prayer Monday through Friday every week from 7:15 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. in the student activity room

-See You at the Pole Rally is on Tuesday, Sept. 21. Time and place to be announced.

-See you at the Pole is on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 7 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. in front of Port St. Joe High School around the flag pole. Everyone is welcome!

Keyettes

-Keyette applications are due Sept. 8; initiation week begins Sept. 13.

YEARBOOK  NEWS

-Yearbooks are now $50.

-2009-2010 yearbooks are available for pick-up.  If you are a graduate and you haven’t picked up a yearbook, contact the school to find out when you may pick it up.

GENERAL SPORTS NEWS

-Today our JV and Varsity volleyball teams will take on Arnold at home. The JV game will begin at 6 p.m. and the varsity game will begin at 7 p.m.

 -On Sept. 7 the Lady Tiger Shark volleyball team will play Mosley away. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. for JV and 6:30 p.m. for varsity.

-On Friday, Sept. 3 our Tiger Shark football team will take on the Bay High Tornados, at Shark Field at 7:30 p.m.

 GENERAL NEWS

-Labor Day is observed Sept. 6 and schools will be closed.

-Sept. 9 Progress Reports will be given out to students.
