Boys end losing skein, girls’ winning streak halted on soccer pitch

The Lady Tiger Sharks won 4-0 and the boys went down 4-1.

Chiles recorded her fifth shutout on the season as the Lady Tiger Sharks held Marianna to just eight shots with Chiles making three saves.

Port St. Joe took 20 shots and the offense was led by Lexie McGhee who scored twice, giving her a team-leading 13 on the season. McGhee converted on his sixth penalty kick in six attempts on her second goal of the night.

Rish and Brittany Shoemaker also added goals.

The boys took an early as Lacour converted a penalty kick in the 14th minute of play. The Tiger Sharks were outshot 17-8 and Alford made eight saves.

Marcel Duarte sat out another match with flu-like symptoms. He has missed six of the previous seven games due a hamstring pull.
