Port St. Joe booters finish district play

Maclay outshot Port St. Joe 20-4 and Port St. Joe goalkeeper Celeste Chiles made 12 saves and lowered her goals against average to 1.20.

The Lady Tiger Sharks are unbeaten in seven games, going 5-0-2.

Coach Gary Hindley said he believed the girls would be a third or fourth seed in the upcoming district tournament.

The Tiger Sharks fell behind 4-0 to an experienced Maclay team en route to a 6-0 loss.

Maclay outshot Port St. Joe 26-5.

Goalkeeper Tyler Alford started and made seven saves over 59 minutes, allowing four goals, before Matt Rocha came on in relief. Rocha made two saves before giving way to Joel Bogeart over the final 11 minutes.

Bogeart made two saves and allowed two goals.
