PSJ girls finish 13-11; head to district

Two nights later, Port St. Joe hosted East Gadsden, which Port St. Joe beat earlier in the year. Port St. Joe jumped to an 18-6 lead after the first quarter, but with a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer the margin was 26-25 Port St. Joe. East Gadsden took a 39-35 lead after three periods. The lead changed hands four times in the final quarter, with Port St. Joe prevailing 54-51 by hitting seven of 10 from the free throw line down the stretch.

Robbins scored six of her 19 points in the fourth quarter and Brooklyn Quinn scored three of her nine points in the final period. Teiyahana Hutchinson had four of her 12 points in the fourth.

Fleshner added 10 points, Jasinski three, and Parker two.

Mosley visited “The Dome” the following night, which was Senior Night and a salute to Parker, the lone senior on the team.

“Alyssa has been a great leader on a very young team of two juniors, two sophomores, two freshmen, two eighth-graders and two seventh-graders,” said Port St. Joe assistant coach Tracy Browning.

Mosley won 54-20. Robbins led Port St. Joe with seven points, Fleshren had five, Pridgeon three, Quinn three and Hutchinson two. 

The next night, the Lady Tiger Sharks traveled to Bay High and led the entire way en route to a 38-29 win.
