Tiger Sharks struggle to reach .500

In a nine-inning game the Tiger Sharks lost 5-4.

“We had our chances in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings and could not come up with the big hit,” Gannon said, as Port St. Joe left 10 men on base.

Port St. Joe had just six hits with Tyler Worley singling twice.

Cole Cryderman started on the mound and went seven innings. Sander pitched the final two innings and was the losing pitcher.

“Both pitchers did a good job keeping us in the game,” Gannon said.

Gannon noted that Smith had some “jam-up” plays at short in support of Cryderman and Sander but the Tiger Sharks committed errors that led to the five Liberty County runs.

The Tiger Sharks lost 4-2 over the weekend to Tallahassee Godby.
