Tiger Sharks try to rebound from ‘tough’ week

Port St. Joe Jr./Sr. High School baseball coach Chuck Gannon described the past week with one word – “tough.”

The Tiger Sharks lost 7-0 to Bay High and 9-0 to District 2-1A foe Bozeman last week before rebounding Monday with a 19-0 win over West Gadsden.

The Tiger Sharks hosted Altha on Tuesday and finish the season tonight at Arnold with the opening pitch at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Port St. Joe begins district play as the fourth seed on Tuesday.

The Tiger Sharks open the tournament against fifth-seeded Franklin County at 4 p.m. ET at South Walton High School.

Gannon said attempts are being made to change that game to Port St. Joe to “hopefully attract more fans and save both schools on travel mileage.”
