Truth No. 6: The confusion of languages at the tower of Babel is well understood.  Much less understood, is the division of one large land mass into the continents, which we have today.  This is found hidden in the genealogies in Genesis 10:25.  “To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days THE EARTH WAS DIVIDED.”

In the book of Jasher (see Joshua 10:13 and 2nd Samuel 1:18) the statement is even clearer: “to Eber were born two children, the name of one was Peleg, for in his days the sons of men were divided, and IN THE LATTER DAYS, THE EARTH WAS DIVIDED.”  The Bible and science agree.  What they disagree on, is the date, when this occurred.

Truth No. 7:  Jesus told Satan (Matthew 4:10) “It is written: You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall SERVE.”  This necessity to SERVE God appears throughout scripture, in many, many places.  Since the time of Adam and Eve, all people have been born with the desire to serve themselves, rather than God.  Religious people call this inborn desire, “SIN.”  Sin is another word for selfishness.  This desire cannot be cured by any human act.  There is an answer.  Read truth No. 8!

1. In John 3:3, Jesus told one of the Jewish leaders, Nicodemus, that unless a person had a new birth, he/she could not see (understand) the Kingdom of God.

Jesus explained in John 3:4 that He was talking about a spiritual birth, not a physical birth.  Jesus said in verse 5, that unless a person had this spiritual birth he/she could not enter the Kingdom of God.  As quoted in John 1:12,13, John the Baptist makes it very clear that a person must be born OF GOD, not of some human act or ceremony, and that repenting, and believing, are a gift from God, not something that a person can do, all by themselves.

Truth No. 9: So, you might ask, just what is this Kingdom of God? A kingdom is a territory that is ruled by a ruler.  He might be called a king, or by some other title.  Jesus told some that the Kingdom of God was within them.  Is the Kingdom of God within you?  Is God ruling in your heart, or are you ruling there?  If God is not ruling there, you need a spiritual birth that only God can give you.  In the book of Matthew, the Kingdom of God is called the Kingdom of Heaven.  You would prefer Heaven over hell wouldn’t you?

Truth No. 10:  Scripture contains many commands to repent.  Just what does this mean?  If we look back in the original language, we find the Greek word, “metanoia.”  It’s not really that complicated.  Literally this word means to “have another mind.” To repent is simply to think about things differently.  To repent, by itself, does not mean doing, or not doing anything, other than to consider God’s word as truth.
