Purple Heart Recipients Visit Sims Nursing Home

The Panama City Chapter 794, Military Order of the Purple Heart along with other supporting veterans, recently visited the Sims Veterans Nursing Home. The Combat Wounded Veterans brought prizes awarded during the function. Approximately 25 patients from the D-Wing attended and enjoyed many entertaining and spirited games of bingo.

Sam Thurman of Panama City Chapter 794 MOPH stated that the Purple Heart awardees seemed to enjoy the visit as well or better than the veterans living at the Sims Veterans Home. The Panama City Chapter is making plans to make the visits on a regular basis.
