EDITOR'S NOTE: The following letter was written prior to Sunday's Super Bowl, but received until after the game. Out of fairness to the author we are publishing the letter.
This is the first Super Bowl I will not watch since 1985 when I came back from working overseas. To illustrate the ignorance on the part of the players, let me point out that when the NFL played a game in Mexico this season they stood up for the Mexican anthem and took a knee for the American anthem. They give their cause as social justice.
Do they realize how oppressive the Mexican government is to their people? The reason most illegals come to the U.S. is to work and send their money back for their families not to become citizens. They’re Mexicans and are proud of it.
If the Mexican government gave them the same opportunity they would work at home near their families. I guess the colleges they graduated from didn’t learn them much.
