They say that no one stands so tall as when they stoop to help a child. By that standard we are very fortunate to have a lot of very tall people in our community. On behalf of all the children and volunteer advocates and staff in the Guardian ad Litem program in Okaloosa County and the volunteer Board of Directors of our Foundation, I would like to express our sincere appreciation and thanks for the outstanding Angel Tree donations, toys, and cash donations that brought so much joy to so many of our children in need. These generous donors included the Bluewater Bay Marina, Resort Quest Real Estate, Comfort Keepers, Noah’s Ark, the Fort Walton Beach Chapter of the Elk’s Club, the Defense Support Services of Eglin, Chesser and Barr PA of Shalimar, the Panhandle Flyfishing Club, Sam’s Club of Fort Walton Beach, the Hurlburt Field JAG office, and Chick-fil-A of Fort Walton Beach, as well as many individuals who donated.
A special thanks to the sponsors of the 30A 10K race, the St. Joe Community Foundation, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the Eglin Federal Credit Union, the Kiwanis Club of Destin and Walmart of Fort Walton Beach for their generous donations.
You all have truly made a difference in the lives of so many who have so little. We are very grateful. Thank you one and all.
