Mr. Clarence (Jim) Eaves, age 89, of Wewahitchka passed away early Sunday morning, June 16 in Blountstown. Jim was born on May 5, 1924 in Chattanooga, Tenn. and had lived in Wewahitchka since 1972, coming from Detroit, Michigan.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army during the invasion of Normandy. Jim was a cabinet maker by trade and also worked as a welder at Southeastern Shipyard in Panama City. He was of Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy, of Wewahitchka, step-daughters, Misty Holcomb and her husband Kyle, of Bristol and Brandy Bunkley of Bristol, Hadley Adkins and her husband, Jim of Bristol along with several brothers and sisters and a nephew, Billy Eaves. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 21 at 11 a.m. CT at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
