Dealing with anger addressed at Lifetree Café

Published: Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 08:52 AM.

How to control anger will be discussed at 7 p.m. CT on Monday, May 5 at Lifetree Café.

The program, titled “Out of Anger: The Battle Between Self-Control and Out of Control,” features the filmed story of Jerry Hartman, whose ongoing anger issues led him in and out of prison until he was at last accused of assault with a deadly weapon.

“I had this mentality that if you mess with me, you won’t do it again,” says Hartman. “If you beat me, you won’t do it again because you’re going to pay. When I was around people, I wanted them to fear me.”

Participants will discover what practical tools helped Hartman discover how to control his anger and transform his life.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages are available. Lifetree Café is located at 1602 U.S. Highway 98 in Mexico Beach across from El Governor Motel.
