First Baptist Church has welcomed Rev. Bruce Hodge as their new Pastor for the coming year, shown here with his wife, Jackie.

Pastor Hodge is certified as a “Transitional Pastor” and as such as called to assist churches who have lost their Senior Pastor. By definition, any church of any size that is without a senior pastor is a church “in transition.” First Baptist has begun their preparation for the future call of a permanent senior pastor under the direction of Pastor Hodge who is enabled by a 15-person committee known as a “Transition Team,” elected out of the membership for the express purpose of leading the congregation through their transition period.

With a full calendar of services, events and activities, First Baptist announced the return of an AWANA program for children ages three through sixth grade each Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET. This begins Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Also beginning on the same day is a study of the Book of Revelation which will be led by Jackie Hodge, the pastor’s wife, who is a gifted Bible teacher.

Everyone is invited to attend the services and events sponsored by First Baptist Church. Sunday Worship is at 10:30 a.m. ET with Bible Study prior at 9 a.m. Perhaps a good place to start is to attend the study of the intriguing and often misunderstood book of Revelation beginning Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. ET.
