Jack V. Bogaert Obituary

Jack V. Bogaert, 77, of Zolfo Springs, FL and formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away December 10, 2013.

Jack was born in Moline, Illinois to the late: Frank V. and Helen Gustus Bogaert. He attended Purdue University and graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Jack worked as a Sales Representative for John M. Glass manufacturing for numerous years. Thirty four years ago, Jack met and fell in love with Sharon Judge at the Indianapolis Ski Club. They soon married. Over the years, Jack and Sharon spent time traveling, including a trip to the Panama Canal and many visits across the miles to see children and grandchildren.

He was a family man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jack enjoyed spending time relaxing and fishing at his lake house on Lake Freeman, Indiana and always found time to take the grandkids fishing. Jack and Sharon began vacationing to Desoto County eight years ago and became full time residents in 2010.

Jack was a fun loving guy and enjoyed playing golf, cards and being a handyman. Even throughout his 14-year battle with cancer, he always kept going, smiling and exuding pure positivity.

He was a member of the Foundry Men's Association and the Moose Club in Arcadia. He was of the Catholic faith but often attended Sunday services at Toby's RV Park. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Bogaert, of Zolfo Springs, Fl; sons, Steven (Nancy) Bogaert, of Frankfort, Illinois, David (Jennifer) Bogaert, of Port St. Joe, Fl, Phil (Michelle) Hale, of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Barbara (Brian) Osborn, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dana (Eyal) Tabib, of Cooper City, Fl; sister, Barbara (Dan) VanTreese, of Port St. Joe, FL; grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Isabel and Joel Bogaert, Gabriella, Daniel and Samuel Tabib and Stephen Osborn.
