Mrs. Lillian Louise Schweikert, 90, of Mexico Beach went to Heaven Monday, December 16, 2013. Lillian was born on February 11, 1923 in Greenville, South Carolina and had lived in Mexico Beach since 1965. She was a homemaker and a member of Mexico Beach Methodist Church. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Charles Schweikert.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Schweikert and his wife Patricia of Buffalo, WY, Donald Schweikert and his wife Carol of Valrico, FL and Richard Schweikert of Port St. Joe, FL; two daughters, Judy Mahan and her husband Wesley of New Port Richey, FL and Janis Tankersley and her husband Danny of Port St. Joe, FL; one brother, Don Hester of Greensville, SC; eight grandchildren, Don Schweikert, James Schweikert, Michael Schweikert, Jeff Schweikert, Kristy Schweikert Hirko, Mark Schweikert, Jacob Tankersley, Anna Tankersley Hickes; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. ET Friday, December 20, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Port St. Joe with Reverend Andy Hirko and Reverend Gregory Lentz officiating. Internment followed in Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe.
The family received friends 5-7 p.m. ET Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the church.
