Long Avenue Baptist Church calls new senior pastor

During a special called business meeting on Sunday, Feb. 23, the membership of Long Avenue Baptist Church voted to call Rev. Israel “Eli” Prine as their new Senior Pastor.

For the past two ½ years, Rev. Prine has served as the Student Pastor of LABC. Prior to his relocation to Port St. Joe, Rev. Prine served as Minister of Students and Education at Faith Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina.

“I am humbled by the calling of God on my life, and I am humbled by the calling of Long Avenue Baptist Church to be their Senior Pastor.” said Prine. “I am so excited to see how God is going to continue to work and move mightily at LABC as we impact the Port St. Joe community for the glory of King Jesus.” 

Rev. Prine grew up in Crawfordville, FL and was a graduate of Wakulla High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville. Rev. Prine earned his Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC.

Rev. Prine is married to his wife of eight years, Shanna. Together they have three children: Jakob, Micah, and Caleb. The Prine family, along with the Pastor Search Committee of LABC will host an Open House from 4-6 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 8 at the Prine residence, located at 2006 Juniper Avenue in Port St. Joe.
