Mr. Terry S. Mercer, age 50, of Hosford passed away early Sunday morning, June 16 in Blountstown. Terry was born on January 21, 1963 in Quincy, Florida and had lived in Liberty County for most of his life.
He was an electrician by trade. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Thomas Mercer and a grandson, Ethan John-Colt O’Bryan. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include wife, Linda of Hosford, mother, Berry Jean Mercer of Hosford, two sons, Sterling Mercer and his wife, Savannah of Blountstown and Thomas Mercer and his wife, Lindsey of Gainesville.
He also leaves behind a daughter, Della and her husband Johnathan Dunlap of Hosford, a brother, James Douglas Mercer of England, two sisters, Nancy Jean Mercer of Hosford and Linda Doreen Mercer of Kentucky, and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 20 at 11 a.m. CT at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Stevie O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Creek Cemetery in Liberty County. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. CT at Peavy Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
