William Mack Raffield Obituary

Mr. William Mack Raffield, age 86 of Wewahitchka, FL passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Panama City, FL. William was born on April 19, 1926 in Georgia and had lived in Gulf County for most of his life. He was a retired fisherman and was an Army Veteran of World War II serving with the 2nd Armored Division (Hell on Wheels) under the command of General George S. Patton. He was a member of White City Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter Naomi Kirk and husband Chris of Wewahitchka, FL; five sons, Johnny Raker and his wife Donna of Howard Creek, FL, James Raker of White City, William Raffield and his wife Linda of Howard Creek, FL, Jesse Raffield of White City, FL and Danny Raffield of Georgia; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. CT on Friday, March 15, 2013 at White City Baptist Church with Reverend Nick Davis officiating. Interment followed in Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, FL. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. CT on Friday, March 15, 2013 at White City Baptist Church.

All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
