American Legion benefit fish fry/chicken barbecue

American Legion Post 116 of Port St. Joe will hold a benefit fish fry/chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. ET (or until the food is gone) on Good Friday, March 29 at Veterans Memorial Park in Beacon Hill.

Along with local fish caught, cleaned and fried by Post members and friends, there will be chicken, baked beans, Cole slaw and hush puppies. Soft drinks and water will be available. A $6 donation will be used by the Post to support a Port St. Joe Jr./Sr. High School  NJROTC scholarship and other American Legion projects. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the park the day of the event. For more information call 227-3776.

Legion Post 116 will also have a representative present to assist qualified veterans with information regarding the Post. Interested veterans can also go to For God and Country.
