Community resource center needs food pantry items

The Community Resource Center food pantry, a partnership between Gulf Coast Workforce Board, the Christian Community Development Fund and the Washington Improvement Group is in need of donation items for their food pantry.

Canned meals including stews, soups, tuna, ravioli, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, Beef-a-roni, peanut butter, etc. are needed.

Grains that include cereal, rice, pasta and dried beans and canned fruits, fruit cups, dried fruit (raisins, plums and cranberries), applesauce, 100 percent juice and juice boxes are also needed.

The pantry will also accept canned vegetables and kid-friendly items such as fat-free/sugar-free pudding cups, granola bars, popcorn, and graham and animal crackers.

Items can be dropped off at 401 Peters Street in Port St. Joe. For more information or to schedule a pickup, call Tamlyn Smith at 229-1641.
