The United Way in partnership with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and other private partners, will be offering free income tax preparation to eligible wage earners.
The site at the A. D. Harris Learning Village, 819 E. 11th Street in Panama City, will operate 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. CT Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. CT on Saturday.
If you made $51,000 or less in 2012 you qualify for free income tax preparation.
Each year many don’t have access to affordable tax preparation services or are unaware of programs like the Earned Income Tax Credit that can put hundreds of dollars back in your pocket.

You must learn have earned less than $57,000 in 2012, have an e-mail address and know your PIN from last year (if you do not know your PIN look it up by visiting www.irs.gov or call the IRS at 866-704-7388).
