Kiwanis Club inducts new member

Karen Brown was inducted as a new member into the Port St Joe Kiwanis Club last week.

Karen is a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a graduate of Carrabelle High School.  After high school, Karen attended the Florida A & M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals Sciences in Tallahassee where she received her Pharmacy Degree.

Upon receiving her degree, Karen opened her first retail pharmacy in Eastpoint and then 12 years later a second pharmacy in Carrabelle. Karen furthered her pharmaceutical studies to include institutional pharmacy.  She has been and continues to be employed by several nursing homes and hospitals as the Consultant Pharmacist.

The Highlight of Karen's career is her present position as Pharmacy Manager here at Sacred Heart on the Gulf Hospital.

Karen enjoys playing golf and spending time with her daughter and grandson.

The Port St Joe Kiwanis members welcome Karen as their newest member.  Karen was sponsored by Kiwanis member Linda Griffin.
