PANAMA CITY — North Bay Haven eased past Florida A&M 34-18 on Friday night to move to 2-1 on the season and deal the Rattlers (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Ty Boles scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Buccaneers, with Taye Massey and Cameron Gant also scoring on long touchdown runs. Ray Tynan also connected on a touchdown pass to Lionel Ricks.

The Bucs led 28-6 at halftime thanks to the scores from Boles, Massey, and Grant, with Tynan’s touchdown toss to Ricks making it 34-12 early in the fourth quarter. The Rattlers tacked on a late score on the final play of the game.

“It was a great win for us,” NBH coach Jeff Lee said. “We beat an undefeated team that was very, very athletic and had a lot of team speed, a lot of size. Our guys are starting to believe in what we’re doing. Our defense played great, the offense came out on fire early, we ran the ball like we wanted to, and we started sprinkling in some passes later on. It was a total team effort.”

NBH will next play on Friday at Wewahitchka. FAMU next plays host to Jefferson County on Friday.
