Wewahitchka Track Teams Compete at Arnold

The Wewahitchka High School track team traveled to Arnold last Friday.

The boys’ team was led by Colton Price with a first place in the 400 and 200 meters. Tyler Lanter was third in the 300 hurdles and Ben Smith was third in the 100 hurdles among individual competitors.

In the relays, the Gators’ 4 x 800 team (Remington Wade, Michael Bryan, Gauge Combs, Travis McGill) was third, the 4 x 100 team (Lanter, Shaquille Scott, Smith, Matt Irwin) was fourth and the 4 x 400 relay team (Lanter, Andrew Bidwell, Irwin, Price) was also fourth.

Among the Lady Gators, Katie Loyd was third in the 100 hurdles. The 4 x 800 relay (Laurel Manor, Kaitlyn Gaskin, Jaria Pippin, Donie Lanier) was third, the 4 x 100 relay (Jabrela Lewis, Loyd, Azaina Goodman, Raven Forehand) was third and the 4 x 400 relay (Pippin, Manor, Loyd, Lanier) was also third.

The Wewahitchka High track teams will compete in the Ram Relays at Tommy Oliver Stadium in Panama City this Saturday.
