Gold Card changes for football season

Beginning this week and continuing throughout the school year, Gold Card holders must pay $1 for admittance to each home sporting event. Previously, Gold Card members were admitted free to any sporting contest, but the Gulf County School Board, cognizant that athletic programs rely on home gate receipts to sustain, changed the regulations to allow a charge of $1 for all home athletic contests.
