Soccer Clinic

The Port St Joe Youth Soccer League is sponsoring a Coaching Clinic this Saturday, Aug. 28 for all interested Coaches, high school players, and interested parents that would like the latest in coaching information. It will primarily deal with coaching the ages from 6-12. It will begin at 9 a.m. EDT and 90 minutes of opening lecture (practice planning, technical development, Principles of Play, and basic tactics), followed by a two-hour field session (technical training and the use of small-sided games).

It will begin in the Video room, under the Visitors side stands at the PSJHS Football Stadium, then move out to the adjacent soccer fields. This course will cover the coaching items that are currently covered in the NSCAA and USSF (FYSA) age appropriate courses. This is a minimal participation course, so come in appropriate clothing, bring a pad and pen, and a jug of water or replacement drink.

We will have balls, cones, and scrimmage vests for all attending. 

There is no fee involved. Just come and learn a new thing or two to assist your players/teams and have some fun. All are welcomed. PSJHS Coach and former professional Coach, Gary Hindley, will be the instructor.
