Gators split at Panhandle Dual meet

The Wewahitchka High School wrestlers competed in the Panhandle Duals tournament in Bay County over the weekend.

The Gators finished 2-3 overall, losing dual matches to Pace, Marianna and Bozeman.

Wewahitchka defeated Bay High and Rocky Bayou.

Three Gators finished the day unbeaten. They were Beau Boggess (106 pounds), Elijah Sarmiento (113), and Austin Malcolm (106), pictured above.

By the end of the day, Boggess had raised his record to a team-best 17-4.

The Gators wrestle this weekend in the Panhandle Championships at Lynn Haven Mosley.
