Gators split Quad Duals

The Wewahitchka High School wrestling team hosted its annual Quad Duals last Saturday, with Tallahassee Godby, Rocky Bayou Christian Academy and Bay High competing.
The Gatores defeated Bay High 42-7 and Rocky Bayou 46-12. In what Coach Tracy Malcolm called a hard-fought dual the Gators fell to Godby 39-34.
Individually, Austin Malcolm went 1-0, Beau Boggess 3-0, Bryan Harris 2-0, Cameron Laster 3-0, Weston Sarmiento 3-0, Josh Epps 3-0, Jason Haire 3-0, Sean Rice 2-1, Casey Dauphin 1-2 and Randy Roth 1-2.
The Gators will host the District 1-1A wrestling championships on Feb. 4.
