Lady Sharks Raise Record to 3-2
With a pair of victories over Bay High the Port St. Joe softball team notched its first wins of the season in a week that also included the Lady Sharks first district loss.
The Lady Sharks hosted Bay last Monday and defeated the Lady Tornadoes 8-3.
Kristi Davis pitched seven innings allowing one hit and five walks while striking out five. Katie Lacour was 3 for 3 and Cassie Tullis and Megan Gannon each had two hits.
Port St. Joe traveled to Liberty County on Thursday where the Lady Sharks lost 11-10 in eight innings in their first district game of the year.
Katie Gardner pitched eight innings, allowing 11 hits and walking seven while fanning eight. Tullis had two hits and five RBIs, Davis had two hits including a triple and three RBIs, Lacour had a hit, Gardner a double and Evan Brumbaugh a double.
Monday the Lady Sharks hosted Bay and won 8-0.
Gardner pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out 11.
The Lady Sharks host West Gadsden at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday.
