‘Benders' traveling team wins Lake City tournament

The Benders 8-U travel baseball team competed Feb. 11-12 in Lake City in the Ultimate Florida championship. 

On Saturday in pool play The Benders went 1-1, winning 10-1 over the Lake City Lightning, and losing 15-7 against the Clay PAL Blue Devils. 

On Sunday in elimination play and seeded second The Benders opened up with the Ocala Rampage and won 14-13.  The championship game was a rematch with Clay PAL Blue Devils.  The Benders came out on top of a close on 10-9.
