4-Her's Shine at Northwest Horse Riding Event

On Jan. 23, Gulf County 4-H Club members participated in the 2010 Northwest Florida Horse Judging Clinic and Contest competition at the Jackson County Ag Center in Marianna. The event was hosted by Malone FFA.

Members participated in clinics for the Stock Type Halter, Hunter in Hand, Western Pleasure, and Hunter Under Saddle events and were judged in each event.

Members participated in the following divisions: FFA – Middle and High School Levels; 4-H Junior Division – age 8 to 10/Intermediate Division – age 11-13 (combined); and Senior Division – 14 to 18.

Gulf’s Junior/Intermediate Judging Teams placed as follows: 1st   Place – Gulf No. 2 – Kayla Lindsey, Victoria Lanter, Robin Outlaw, and Kaitlyn Baker. 2nd Place - Gulf No. 1 – Bailee Fontaine, Shawn Elia, Brooke McMillian and Desiree Outlaw. In the Junior/ Intermediate Individual Places – 1st Place – Kayla Lindsey and 3rd Place – Bailee Fontaine.
