2008 Senior Citizens Benefit Golf Tournament Nov. 1

The  Port  St. Joe Branch of Arizona Chemical Company is co-sponsoring a golf tournament for the Gulf County Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels program.  This November 1 tournament will be open to all members and guests.  The entry fee will be $60 per person.  This fee will include green fee, golf cart, a chance for a hole-in-one prize of $10,000, and 8 special event prizes, as well as a buffet dinner during the awards program. There will be drawings for door prizes throughout the awards program as well.

 

     Entry forms will be available at the St. Joseph Bay Country Club Pro Shop, Senior Citizen's Center, and Hannon Insurance Agency  All players must meet the handicap requirements on the entry form.  The deadline for entry will be Oct. 24.

 

     Any individual, business, or organization who would like to sponsor a team or a hole is asked to call Jerry at 899-1036 or Heather or Johanna at 229-8466.  All donations will be greatly appreciated and are desperately needed.

 

    Help us fill all 22 team slots and join in a day of fun as we show our support for the this great cause which supports elderly men and women of Gulf County.  Watch your local newspapers for further updates.

 

Players may call Jerry Stokoe 899-1036 and register by telephone. Please have the handicaps for all players. The entry fee can be dropped off at the St. Joseph Bay Country Club prior to Oct 24.

 

 The team prizes are as follows below:

 

                              First      Place     Team                 $600

                              Second Place     Team                 $400

                              Third    Place     Team                 $200

                              Fourth  Place     Team                 $100

 

 There will be special event prizes for the longest drive and closest shot to the hole with a cash prize of $50 on the designated holes.

 

The Senior Citizens Center needs help to provide meals for the remaining months.  This tournament will help to cover these expenses.
