AA ALL-STARS WIN DISTRICT TITLE

The Port St. Joe Dixie Youth AA All-Stars won the District 4 Championship on Wednesday, June 10, in Callaway.  Port St. Joe competed with Highland Park, Franklin County, Central, Bayou George and Callaway for the title.

On Saturday, PSJ played Highland Park and came out with a 14-9 victory.  PSJ had a slow start against Franklin County on Monday but rallied for a 19-8 victory.  Highland Park survived to play PSJ again on Tuesday only to lose again 12-2.  PSJ, the only team with no losses, met up with Callaway for the championship game on Wednesday and took the first place trophy with a 21-5 victory.

 "I am proud to coach such a great bunch of kids and with great coaches," said Manager, Bill Kennedy.  PSJ will be traveling to Bushnell, Florida, to compete at the state level on July 4.  The team will be having fundraisers to help with the cost of the trip so please watch for more information.
